01 / A space for you

You help others improve.
What about your own development?

01

You have ideas. You want clarity.

You want to decide what makes sense for your team and how to bring it into training.

02

Some questions deserve a conversation.

You need to discuss what you observe with someone who listens, asks questions and explores it with you.

03

You want to move forward in your context.

Your time, your players and your resources are our starting point.

02 / About me

I’m Carlos Bou.
My place is on the pitch.
And alongside fellow coaches.

My experience includes ten seasons in the Villarreal CF academy, international experience at Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar, and my current role as assistant coach at Orihuela CF in Spain’s Segunda Federación.

I have worked in different settings, with players at different stages of development and with the demands of competition. That experience is the starting point from which I share, listen and reflect with you.

More than 20 players

I have coached more than 20 players who have been called up to youth national teams representing Spain, Morocco, Ukraine, Ivory Coast and Qatar.

My full background

Connecting coaching and learning.

I hold a PhD in Education from Universitat Jaume I, awarded cum laude. My thesis examines physical fitness and mental health in adolescents. I previously taught at the university for three years. My degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences and UEFA A licence complement my experience on the pitch.

I am also the author of Salida de balón contra presión. La batalla táctica moderna, published by YouCoach. The book connects analysis of the game with the decisions we make as coaches.

What my experience can bring to yours.

In mentoring, I put that experience at your disposal: to review a task, understand what is happening with your team or discuss a difficult decision. I want to understand your context and help you find a way forward that makes sense for you.

From conversation to training

Let each conversation
help you take
the next step.

We will connect what you want to achieve with the decisions you make each week.

01

Clarify your priorities

Identify what your team needs now and where you want to develop.

02

Give your tasks a purpose

Connect each activity with what you want your players to learn.

03

Review your decisions

Observe what happens, discuss it and adjust the next training session.

03 / A glimpse of the work

A problem on the pitch.
A focused conversation.

Imagine your team plays out successfully in a training task, but struggles in matches. What would we review together?

Illustrative example. This is not a real case study or a guaranteed outcome.

Training notebook / 01

“It works in training.
But not in the match.”

Four white defenders facing three yellow forwards in the highlighted pressing zone.
  1. Observe. What changes in the pressure, space and available options?
  2. Understand. Does the player recognise the problem or follow a sequence?
  3. Design. Which task condition could bring the two situations closer together?
  4. Review. What behaviour will we observe in the next session?

04 / Getting started

First, get to know each other.
Then, agree on the way forward.

  1. 01

    Tell me about your context

Share where you are and what you would like to work on.

  2. 02

    I review your application

I personally assess whether we can begin the process.

  3. 03

    We meet

Once approved, choose a time for a free 25–30-minute introductory conversation on Google Meet.

  4. 04

    We agree on the work

We define the approach and terms around your situation.

05 / Areas of development

Your development has
more than one dimension.

We will prioritise the areas that matter at this stage of your journey.

01Coaching identity

What you stand for, what you aim for and how that shapes your daily work.

02Training methodology

How you connect your objectives with your players’ learning process.

03Training design

Which situations, rules and interventions can encourage the learning you are seeking.

04Communication and leadership

How you listen, intervene and build relationships within your team.

05Match management

What you observe, how you interpret it and when you choose to intervene.

06Competitive environment

How you work with the opportunities, demands and limitations of your context.

The starting point

Your level of competition does not define
how much you can learn.

This space is for coaches who want to share their context, ask questions and put reflection into practice. You may be working with a team or preparing for your next role.

The work is one-to-one and requires your involvement. In our first conversation, we will explore whether it is a good fit.

Mentoring built around you

A free first conversation.
A way forward we agree on together.

Once your application is approved, we begin with a free 25–30-minute introductory conversation on Google Meet.

We establish a starting point and agree on how to move forward.

Final prices. After the free introductory conversation, if we both agree to begin mentoring, you pay by Bizum or bank transfer and we start working together. Payment instructions will be shared privately.

The conversation continues after the session.

With your permission, we will use AI to transcribe our conversation during the meeting. Afterwards, you will receive a summary, my proposed next steps and a document on the topic discussed, prepared with AI assistance and reviewed and approved by me before delivery.

Follow-up may include a WhatsApp conversation or a call, depending on what we agree and what you need to work on.

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. With less than 24 hours’ notice, the session counts as used, except in circumstances beyond your control that I personally accept.

Before you take the next step

You may be
wondering…

Do I need to coach at a particular level?

There is no required level of competition. I will review your context, your goals and whether the work is a good fit.

What is the first meeting like?

A free 25–30-minute introductory conversation on Google Meet. The calendar becomes available after I approve your application.

What are the price and frequency?

Each session lasts 50 minutes. Launch price for the first places: 50 € or 4 sessions for 180 €. Afterwards: 60 € or 6 sessions for 300 €. Applying does not commit you to purchasing.

How do we arrange sessions after the introductory conversation?

If we both decide to begin, I will send you payment instructions privately. We will agree directly on times for the 50-minute sessions, and you will receive a Google Meet invitation. The website calendar is for the free introductory conversation.

Will I receive materials?

After the session, you will receive a summary, my proposed next steps and a document on the topic. I will review and approve the materials before delivery. Follow-up may include WhatsApp or a call, as agreed.

Are sessions recorded or is AI used?

With your permission, we will use AI to transcribe the session and prepare follow-up materials. Recording requires separate permission. You can share your preferences in the application and discuss them before we meet.

What if we are not a good fit?

The diagnosis is free. If either of us decides not to continue, there is no payment or commitment.

Can I apply without a team?

Yes. We can work on your preparation, coaching identity and the decisions involved in your next stage.

With you, in your context

Let’s talk about what
you need as a coach.

The first step is to share your context.

Before our conversation

Tell me where you are.

I will review your application personally. Fields marked with * are required.

More context and preferences (optional)

You can share these preferences now or discuss them before the sessions. None is selected by default.

Carlos Bou Sospedra uses your information to handle this application and prepare the introductory conversation, as a step towards a possible mentoring agreement. Fields marked * are needed to process your application.

Hosting, application management, email and scheduling providers are involved; international transfers may occur and remain to be verified in this review version. You can exercise your rights by writing to carlosbousospedra@gmail.com. Read the details before submitting.

Your information

Data controller: Carlos Bou Sospedra.

carlosbousospedra@gmail.com

How I use your data

To handle your application and introductory conversation, reply to you and, if we agree to work together, arrange sessions and follow-up. Applying does not subscribe you to marketing communications.

Application and optional permissions

The legal basis for handling your application and introductory conversation is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; if mentoring starts, it is performance of the agreement. Applicable legal obligations provide the basis for tax and accounting records. Recording, transcription and AI use require separate, optional consent. Declining them does not prevent you from applying for an introductory conversation or accessing mentoring; we will agree on follow-up without those tools. You can withdraw consent by emailing the contact address or informing Carlos before a session.

Information collected

I receive the information you provide in the form, your preferences and the information needed to manage your application and appointments. Required fields identify you, allow me to reply and explain your mentoring needs; the application cannot be submitted without them. Do not include health data or information identifying other people. Infrastructure providers may process technical connection logs to operate and protect the service.

Tools used

The service uses Netlify for website hosting, Supabase for applications, Resend for emails, and Google Calendar and Meet for appointments and meetings. Tactiq will only be used for transcription with your permission. Documents may be prepared with ChatGPT assistance and will be reviewed by Carlos before delivery.

Providers and international transfers

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Before this version is used with real personal data, the applicable agreements, locations and safeguards must be checked; verified information and how to obtain a copy of the safeguards must then be added here. Consent to transcription or AI use does not replace that check.

Information to avoid

Describe your context without names, images, health data or other information that identifies players or other people, particularly children. Before sharing team materials, we will agree on what is needed and how to anonymise it.

Your rights and preferences

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability where applicable, and withdraw optional permissions by writing to the contact provided. Withdrawal does not affect prior lawful processing. You may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

How long information is kept

Application data is kept while the application is being handled and, if mentoring begins, during the service relationship. At the end, we will review what should be deleted and what must be retained to meet legal obligations or address claims. Transcripts are working material: they will be reviewed for deletion once the documents have been prepared and checked, unless there is a specific reason to retain them. Deletion is not automatic.

Decisions and human review

Carlos personally reviews applications and documents. AI does not decide whether an application is accepted or independently send recommendations or materials to the student.

Analytics and browser storage

We use Netlify Web Analytics to understand page visits, traffic sources and access errors. Statistics are generated from hosting server logs, without installing analytics cookies or tracking code in your browser. Netlify processes technical request data, including the IP address used to calculate visitor counts; we receive aggregate statistics, not the content of your forms.

Optional Google Analytics measurement is disabled in this version. The private administrator area uses session storage to maintain authentication in the tab. If Google Analytics is enabled in future, its terms must be explained and permission requested before it loads; you will be able to decline or withdraw permission.

Status of this information

Review version dated 1 October 2026. Retention criteria are described; their implementation, provider settings and agreements, and international transfer safeguards remain to be verified before publication.

Purpose of this website

This website presents Carlos’s professional background and mentoring service for football coaches. Submitting an application does not create a paid agreement. After the free introductory conversation, coach and mentor decide together whether to proceed; payment is then made by Bizum or bank transfer using private instructions.

A 50-minute session costs €50. A pack of four sessions costs €180 and does not expire. These are final prices, including applicable taxes. Sessions are usually weekly and can be adapted by agreement.
